History In 1988 Promoters Danny & Theresa Zaino formed their "Battle of the Arts" Martial Arts Championships in Palm Beach County Florida. For the first six years the Battle was held on a triannual calendar and in 1994 the Zaino's were recognized for their accomplishments and received their first of seven "Hall of Fame Promoters of the Year" awards. Continuing to bring the best in Martial Arts Competition to the Palm Beach County area in 1999 the Battle changed its venue name to the "Battle by the Beach" as the popularity of the event began to draw the attention of out of state competitors and their families who were interested in coming to an event well known for its great competition and to also vacation in the Sunny South Florida area.
Danny & Theresa Zaino In 2005 the decision was made to change the name once again to the "Battle of Florida" National Martial Arts Championships due to the continued growth and success of the event which had become a true National Martial Arts Competition with a reputation of having some of the best martial arts competitors in the State of Florida and around Country. Also gaining popularity was their Night of Championship finals known for its was unique and entertaining shows. 2009 brought a new light to the event when Danny & Theresa added a new addition to the venue the "Martial Arts Choice Awards" Hall of Fame Banquet which was a tremendous success attracting World Renowned Martial Artists, Celebrities, and Stars from around the Country. After a two year break the BATTLE IS BACK as the original Battle of the Arts Martial Arts Championships to be held this year in beautiful Jupiter, Florida on August 13, 2011 with some of the best competition in Traditional & Open Forms & Weapon Forms, Point Fighting, Continuous Lt. Contact Kick Boxing, Self Defense, and Lt. Contact Controlled ShootFighting. Don't miss all the action of this exciting event.
